Troy the boy is going to be one to watch for the WC and champs this coming season. I don't think he got enough publicity for winning the World Champs in Champery, I would like to think he comes 2nd to god in Australia now. Danny Hart is ranked about there here in the UK now. Having been there and seen how epic that track was in the wet to get the 2nd best time on the day was quite something. Downhill for 2012 should be interesting!

We have some great talent thats for sure.I think the New Zealand boys will shock a few of the big names though this year.I tip Troy to top the podium at least once this year....Oh and Connor is just as big a talent as Troy.not much between them.the future is good.

Damn, I wish it was as warm as this in the UK at the moment, no wonder our riders are so tough. Razz

Reminds me somehow at Steve Peats Winter segment in "The Seasons". Actually this is a warm winter without snow, so it's fine cause you can build trails and ride them in (hopefully) march with nice temperatures Smile

Stop whining...here its between -10 and -20 C and were buried under 4-5 feet of snow for like 4 months...

but i'm sure they don't get very good POW conditions in the uk to ride their skis or snowboards :p

Exactly. I spent the last 2 days sledding in 120cms of storm powder in Revelstoke. Sorry but the violin solo gets drowned out by BRAAAAAAAAAAAP!

I would sacrifice the good POW conditions for 12 month DH riding anytime! But to each his own...

I think 2012 is going to be one of the most interesting yet - with so many changes, big wins from the likes of Danny in Senior and Troy in Junior that perhaps at the beginning of last year were maybe not consiodered by some as a threat - well they are now!

Add to that the changes for Brendan, Athertons, Sam Hill being fit..... These are not little differences compared to the previous years but huge differences.

Who's going to be the one to watch this year? Apart from the obvious of Gwin, Hart, athertons, Troy, Hill, Greg etc - who's going to shine in 2012 for the first time?

Whilst Troy is clearly a force to be reckoned with and may well do very well this year and i'm certainly not suggesting that Troy was anything but the fastest rider on the day I felt that Sam hill still looked to be just cruisng.... is it his style and has he just not upped his pace to flat out yet?

Maybe he doesn't want to ruin his 3rd WC season in a row. That would be smart no?

Does any one notice that all the riders that have won destroyed the competition field big time,Troy is killing it in the elite men's!.

Andrew Crimmins, a name to watch for the future, he seems to be winning everything just now.
He was closer to Sam at 16 than Sam was to Troy!
8th fastest time of the day beating his big brother.

So it's gonna be Gwin v Brosnan v Hart this year by the looks of it, although if its gonna be anything like last season, Gwin has still ot an edge on the other two...

As much as I don't like the UCI choice of having val di sole so early in the season... After a couple month break from S africa having the gnarliest track on record could be a bad idea... Seems like a pretty risky track for so early in the season.. peoples form at the end of the season is much different. Plus being so early I would imagine there's a good chance of some mud. Wet conditions on that track would throw a serious curve ball. Notice how Gwin didn't do so hot in the mud... he crashed at worlds, he got like 6th or maybe it was further back at la bresse. He trains in Southern california where its completely dry. Troy on the other hand as well as Sam are very solid riders when the weather gets nasty. And we all know Danny harts run. Hope nobody gets hurt at val di sole.. that would be shit. Troy top 3 end of season for sure.
